阎奕格最新EP《少了一件牛仔裤》第二首抢先完整曝光的单曲“Please don’t cry”是一首由Cazzi Opeia、Corey LeRue、Alex Nese Ni共同谱曲与写词的全英文电子舞曲。因为歌词内容取材自阎奕格感情上的真实感想，因此她也参与了部分的歌词创作。阎奕格笑说：“我过去在谈恋爱的时候因为个性太过严谨，可能也害怕受伤害，所以总会遵照自己的SOP，很理性地思前想后之后才投入到一段关系里去。但来到现在这个年龄，常常被朋友骂说“可以不要那么严格吗？跟著感觉走一次吧！”，于是我有一次就试著敞开心房尝试跟一个新认识的男生约会，结果在约会的过程中发现这个男生应该比较适合当朋友，我就下定决心拒绝跟他发展感情关系了。而最巧合的是，这个很糗的约会过程居然被音乐人好朋友倪子冈撞见！”“Please don’t cry”的创作始于阎奕格参加一个音乐创作营，身为leader的倪子冈就在征询阎奕格的意见之后，把这个他亲眼目睹的“悲剧约会”跟团员分享。阎奕格补充说：“我知道这首歌的瑞典创作人Cazzi Opeia帮很多韩国团体像Red Velvet与Twice打造过很多主打歌，是一个非常厉害的音乐人。当然倪子冈更是我们最熟悉的流行音乐超大咖音乐人。但我真的没想到我的故事给了大家这么大的灵感，我记得“Please don’t cry”我们这几个人几乎在两个小时以内就完成了。哈哈！”
 
“Please don’t cry”最时髦、最亮眼的电音外衣下讲述的歌词是一位勇敢果决的女孩在劝勉一个不适合作为恋爱对象的感性男孩，希望他不要为了这段还没开始便结束的感情感伤与哭泣。既然提早发现我们不适合对方，那不如快刀斩乱麻，趁两方都还没陷进去的时候画一个漂亮的界线吧。当不成情人，也可以当朋友，实在没有必要流眼泪。“Please don’t cry”这首歌对阎奕格来说是第一次在作品中收录全英文舞曲。对于从小就很爱Spice Girls、Christina Aguilera等欧美流行歌手的阎奕格来说，这次终于可以拥有自己的英文舞曲实在是觉得非常爽！阎奕格说：“我其实有幻想过我可以像我欣赏的舞曲歌手如Bebe Rexha、Dua Lipa、Ava Max、Shy Martin等等其他厉害的歌手一样，在台上很high地唱电音、大跳辣舞、尽情挥洒我的汗水和能量！”阎奕格近期也在积极练舞，希望在舞台上呈现给大家一种超带感的live版“Please don’t cry”！
